Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest Uganda savannah national park located conveniently close to the highway that connects Kampala to other five national parks in western Uganda.

Lake Mburo is underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks, sculptured landscapes, with rolling hills that date back more than 500 million years. It contains an extensive area of wetland and also harbors several species of mammals and birds found nowhere else in Uganda.
