Warthogs in Lake Mburo National park are animals found in the pig family which is believed to be an African wild pig with bristly gray skin, a large head, warty lumps on the face, and even curved tusks. A scientific name of a warthog is called phacochoerus and they like to live in open places and also in semi-open habitats most especially in savannah areas, grasslands even woodlands.
Warthogs are extremely flexible and capable of adapting to change. And which is one of the major reasons their populations are stable. Their skin is dark colored and even they are stoutly built. They have a tuft of hair adorns on the tip of the tail. The tusks are elongated with upper teeth. They have large heads equipped with defensive tusks.
Warthogs Diet.

A warthog produces up from five to six months after breeding. And it gives birth to an average of 2 to 3 piglets where the male warthog is called boar. And this male can battle for the night to breed with the female by using their large tusks to push and ram each other’s heads.

Warthogs originally live for about 15 years on average in the wild. However, in their days in captivity lifespan might be shorter because of the stress of life they are living in a natural environment.
