Horse ride safari is one of the most amazing tourist activities in Lake Mburo National Park because it gives you a great experience to see wild animals. You can get as close as you can imagine.
This experience can also give you a chance to do a horse race while in the park and you run after the wildlife. You can also explore the entire animal hide outs, even in the areas which are inaccessible by the vehicles.
Without the noise of an engine you can hear so much more and you really feel part of nature. Riding a horse means you often get the chance to see the more timid animals. If you are very lucky you may see elands and buffaloes. On your lucky day, you can even be lucky enough to see more than 2 leopards while on a your Lake Mburo horse ride safari! However, this is a very rare sighting.
You will nearly always see a mixture of warthogs, topis, impalas, duikers, bushbucks, waterbucks and zebras. The time of the year and the weather affect the number and variety of animals that you see, because animals graze where the grass is most delicious.
Watching animals from a horse back is so peaceful and a totally different experience from being on a game drive. Zebras usually come towards you to check out on their strange relative without stripes. Even the elands that are usually very shy, look curiously at the horses without running away, but keeping at a distance.
